Drabble On Ficathon is a prompt meme challenge where the only requirement for fills is that the fic must be a drabble or a drabble variation. You can post as many prompts as you wish, and likewise fill as many prompts as you wish. All fandoms are welcome, including crossovers and original fics.

What do you mean by "a drabble or a drabble variation"?
A drabble is a piece of fiction that is exactly 100 words long, and all prompt fills must be at least a drabble. But if you find that too limited, you can also go for a stacked variation, such as a double drabble (200 words), a triple drabble (300 words), or even a pentadrabble (500 words).

However, because I don't want this to get too big, the maximum fill is a decadrabble (1000 words).

When does the Drabble On Ficathon run?
Through the month of September. Prompting will open on September 1st, and you can start posting fills for them on the same day. Prompting will close on October 1st, but you can continue posting fills basically forever.

Depending on how well it does, I plan to make this a yearly event, so hopefully, a new round will run again next September.

Where and how do I post a prompt?
You can post prompts in the comments of the official prompt/fill post that will go up shortly before the event begins.

Please use this format:

Fandom, Character or Ship, Word/Sentence Prompt

You can prompt as many times as you want, but remember to post only one prompt per comment.

How do I fill a prompt?
You can fill a prompt by replying to it with your fic, which should be complete. You can fill as many prompts as you want, you can fill the same prompt multiple times, you can fill your own prompts, you can fill a prompt even if someone else has already left a fill for it. The more the merrier.

What if I'm off the drabble count by a few words? Can I still post it?
Absolutely. It's not like I'm going to police everyone to make sure you all have exactly 100 words (or a variation of that) every time. You can maybe check back and see if you can delete a few words in your fill, or if you find that you have more to write, you can make it longer and go for a variation, but honestly just do your best and have fun.

What about ratings or content warnings?
This is a "Choose Not To Use Warnings" event, so for prompts and fills both, you should expect to see any ratings and any CWs. For those who are filling a prompt, you can include content warnings or other tags as a courtesy, but it's not required.

Is RPF allowed?
Yes, both historical and modern RPF are okay, but within reason. Especially if it's modern RPF, please keep it to 18+ people who aren't involved in major crimes like sexual assault, murder, etc., and aren't active advocators of racism, genocide, etc. Generally speaking, just apply common sense.

Can we crosspost to AO3 or another site?
Sure, feel free to crosspost anywhere you want. There will be an AO3 collection for this event so you can add your works there too. You can also post elsewhere and just link the fill here.

What if I don't have a Dreamwidth account?
You can comment anonymously or use Open ID. An account isn't necessary.

Can I combine a fic for this event with a different event?
If it's okay with the other event, then it's okay here.
